Official visa

When applying for an official Visa to Nepal, applicants should fill up the online visa application form available at the following portal:

https://nepaliport.immigration.gov.np/onlinevisa-mission/application

All the personal details to be filled and the required documents to be submitted for the visa are clearly indicated in the above-mentioned portal.

A confirmation slip will be generated at the end of the online application process.

An official visa shall be issued to a person holding an official/ordinary passport who needs to visit Nepal in connection with his/her official duty. Official visa is also issued to the family members of such person when they are accompanying the person.

The official visa shall be issued by the Embassy for a period of 30 days on the basis of reciprocity. The term thereof may be extended, if required, from the Department of Consular Services, Kathmandu for the remaining term of the official assignment in Nepal.

Required Documents for An Official Visa:
1. Original official/ordinary passport with at least 6 months’ validity.
2. One recent passport-size photograph
3. A confirmation slip generated from the online visa application portal
4. A note verbale from the Foreign Ministry/diplomatic mission/ international organisation or equivalent offices with a request for an official visa, stating clearly the purpose and period of the visit.

Note: Applicants visiting the Embassy without filling up the online visa application form will not be entertained.
